I normally don’t mind February being a short month since it’s usually cold and gross where I live. But this year it went entirely too fast! I can’t believe it’s already time for me to make my March To-Be-Read list!
How I did in February:
I think I did pretty good last month. I read every book on my list except A Torch Against the Night and Kiss of Deception. A lot of the reason for my moderate success was due to the magic that is audiobooks and the utter frustration that is rush hour traffic. I also got to listen to a bunch of other audiobooks like Daughter of Smoke & Bone, Strange The Dreamer, Ready Player One, and Caraval (click HERE to go to my book reviews page and see what I thought about those).
What I want to read in March:
- A Torch Against The Night by Sabaa Tahir: I’ve already started this book and am hooked already, so I’m sure it won’t be too hard to finish it this month.
- Stalking Jack The Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco: Several of my friends told me last year this was one of the top 3 books they read in 2017. The title alone is enough to peak my interest, so I’m anxious to read it for myself.
- Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson: I’m putting this one on my list again because I’m determined to get to it!
- Dreams of Gods & Monsters by Laini Taylor: I managed to listen to the first two books in the Daughter of Smoke & Bone series in February, so I’ll finish it off with this third and final installment. The first book was eh for me. The second book was much better. My hope is this third book will blow the first two out of the water.
- Heartless by Marissa Meyer: I LOVED Cinder so I can’t wait to read this stand-alone novel by Marissa. I’m used to reading series, but there’s something lovely and refreshing about a stand-alone isn’t there?
- Warcross by Marie Lu: I’ve recently discovered something new about myself: I love gamer novels. I’m really excited at the increase in popularity of these. After Ready Player One I’m itching to dive into another gamer novel like this one.
If you need me, I’ll be curled up in my purple chair sipping tea and watching the buds push through the winter gray in between page turns.
